At CIP Finishes, our success is built on the dedication of team members who consistently go above and beyond. Among those is Travis Turner, Senior Project Estimator, whose leadership, reliability and commitment to excellence have made him a valuable part of our team since he joined the company in 2016.
As CIP’s lead project estimator, Travis plays a critical role in ensuring projects are positioned for success from the very beginning. His responsibilities include reviewing bids, best and final offers, product submittals and contract documentation, while also managing requests for information and responding to project repricing and scope changes.
Travis’s impact extends far beyond the estimating department. His dedication to delivering timely and accurate information has earned praise from clients and project partners alike. During the 1901 N. Moore project, a representative from CBG noted, “Travis has been extremely helpful with providing pricing quickly. Even when I give him tight due dates, he always ensures I have exactly what I need when I need it.” This level of reliability helps projects move forward smoothly and reinforces the trust our partners place in CIP Finishes.
In 2025, Travis further expanded his leadership capabilities as a fellow in Leadership Fredericksburg, a program through the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce designed to strengthen leadership skills, foster community connections, and create meaningful regional impact. Through the program, participants collaborate on Action Learning Projects that address real community needs while developing professionally and personally.
Reflecting on the experience, Travis described Leadership Fredericksburg as “one of the most impactful opportunities” for his personal and professional growth. The program helped him connect with community leaders, gain new perspectives and improve his work-life balance. Most importantly, he learned new approaches to leadership that he now applies in helping manage CIP’s estimating team.
As part of the program, Travis served as project leader for a team working with Topside Federal Credit Union’s TopsideCAREs initiative. Under his leadership, the team developed tools, checklists, legal resources and a marketing plan to establish a sustainable foundation for the program’s future success. Being selected by his peers to lead the project speaks volumes about the confidence others place in his ability to guide teams and achieve results.
For Travis, leadership is rooted in trust, service and community. He believes that valuing your work and supporting others creates stronger relationships and better outcomes. That philosophy is reflected every day in the way he approaches his role at CIP Finishes.
“Travis exemplifies the kind of leadership, professionalism and dedication that strengthens our entire organization,” said CIP founder and CEO Paul Milde. “His commitment to delivering exceptional service makes a meaningful difference every day. Whether he’s managing complex estimating challenges, mentoring others or representing CIP in the community, Travis consistently raises the standard for excellence. We are proud to have him on our team and grateful for the positive impact he has on both our people and our projects.”
