CIP Finishes “Nationals Night Out”

“What did you do this summer?”

It’s a standard essay question for students on the first day of school. And a frequent conversation starter for all of us, as summer turns toward fall.

Here at CIP Finishes, our answer is simply stated: “We’ve been working hard!” We’ve been furnishing and installing interior hardware at amazing commercial real estate properties in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland while planning for a record number of developments in the pipeline.

We’ve been playing, too. Recently, we took in a night game together at Washington Nationals Park, watching the Nats square off with the LA Dodgers. The Nats lost that one, but we had a spectacular night! From our seats, we shared a bonus view. We could see the impressive terraced architecture of West Half, a nearby property where we’re providing hardware finishes.

Another view of West Half’s terraced architecture from Nationals Stadium.

While driving to Nats Park I passed several other distinctive mixed-use developments and multifamily communities where we’ve worked in recent years – properties that have helped transform the Anacostia waterfront and Navy Yard district.

My feelings on the drive were twofold: pride and gratitude. Pride for our contributions to improving the neighborhoods in and around the nation’s capital. And gratitude for the owners, architects, builders, and suppliers who have created these beautiful properties – and have invited us onto their teams.

I am especially proud of our own workers and grateful for their accomplishments. Celebrating with them at Nats Park “hit it home” for me once more: taking time to bond and celebrate is always a winning play, for ourselves and for the customers we so gratefully serve.
