CIP Finishes President Paul Milde and Senior Project Estimator Travis Turner visit the new building on the firm’s Stafford County campus.
CIP Finishes is putting finishing touches on a 46,800-square-foot industrial building adjacent to its Stafford County headquarters. The facility will bring a diverse collection of new small businesses to the county, including a brewery, a soccer training facility, a martial arts academy, a cheerleading school and a plumbing business.
The building represents a more than $6 million investment, said CIP Finishes President Paul Milde. CIP Finishes broke ground on the project, located on 9 acres at 45 Centreport Parkway next door to its new headquarters, in spring 2022. Businesses will move in this month.
The development is part of the massive growth in business activity along Stafford County’s Centreport Parkway corridor, which is becoming a distribution and warehousing hub with large investments by Amazon, FedEx and others. CIP Finishes’ headquarters campus enjoys easy access to and high visibility from Interstate 95 and Stafford Regional Airport.
“I’m proud that as we watch world-class companies such as Amazon build out this corridor, we are providing a home here on our property for entrepreneurs to house their growing small businesses,” Milde said. “The business-friendly environment is one of the things we love most about being headquartered in Stafford County.”
CIP Finishes furnished and installed many of the finishing items within the new building, including interior and exterior doors, bathroom accessories and all building signage. The firm is a major supplier and installer of Division 10 specialties in large multi-family developments throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and Milde has praised the headquarters at 25 Centreport Pkwy., where the firm moved in 2021, as an ideal spot in terms of access to the entire region and a business-friendly community.
Milde said he appreciated being able to work with quality local contracting firms on the project. These include Development Consulting Services PLC, JBR Construction & Consulting, Virginia Paving, Tommy Wallace Electric, Bantam’s Plumbing, Total Construction Services Inc., Mullins Plumbing and H&H Electric. Leasing was managed by Aquia Realty.
New businesses that will soon open in the fully-leased space include Champions Sportsplex, Laudenbach Brewing, House of Cheer, Gracie Barra Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu and WorkHouse Plumbing & Gas.
“We are excited to bring these business owners onto our campus, and to play a role in growing the Stafford County business community,” Milde said.
