Specialty construction company to install finishing hardware in innovative residential and hotel projects
CIP Finishes is starting its 30th year in business with three unique projects that are on the cutting edge of the Washington, D.C., market’s multifamily housing and hotel markets.
These projects put the company on track to continue the double-digit growth it has experienced in the past year as a top furnisher and installer of finishing hardware for multi-family residential and commercial construction projects.
“We’ve really honed our process, and can come in at a crucial stage of these large projects and make sure all the details are just right,” said CIP Finishes President and Owner Paul Milde. “We are proud to be on the job with first-class builders like CBG Building Company and L.F. Jennings.”
Three of CIP Finishes’ biggest projects during the first quarter of 2018 are:
- Trellis House, a 319-unit mixed-use housing community in Washington, D.C.’s Shaw neighborhood being built by CBG Building Company. Trellis House is targeting LEED certification with many sustainable elements, and is within walking distance of Howard University. CIP Finishes won the contract for finishing hardware on this project, valued at $737,000.
- Location: 907 Barry Place NW, Washington, D.C., 20001
- The Moxy, a Marriot brand, will be Washington, D.C.’s first micro-concept hotel. CIP Finishes’ nearly $1 million contract on this project includes an innovative process of constructing the bathrooms within the property’s 200 rooms with shower-door material, which saves space versus traditional construction.
- Location: 1101 K Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20001
- Columbia Pike Village Center, a mixed-use development that includes 366 apartments. This is a major redevelopment at the corner of Columbia Pike and South George Mason Drive in Arlington. CIP Finishes is proud have won the $570,000 finishing hardware contract on this project, built by L.F. Jennings.
