We may be taking off work early for some of the World Series games in Washington, DC. Yes, we are fans of the Washington Nationals and thrilled they’re the National League pennant winners. But we are not ones to clock out early for pleasure. We’ll end early in the event of any mandatory work stoppages during the games for nearby properties under construction. West Half is underway at 1201 Half St. SE just a half block from the ballpark’s main entrance and we are delivering and installing interior hardware finishes there.

It’s a beautiful, 465-unit mixed-use community built by HITT Contracting, and developed by JBG Smith. Our view of West Half and other properties where we work is usually up close and detailed, like you’ll see in our recent on-the-job video.

But this summer we got to see West Half from a different vantage point – Nats stadium – at our company’s Nationals night out.

The Nats have come a long way and we are so proud of all they have accomplished. This team has brought so much joy to Washington.

Nats stadium has also inspired the revitalization of surrounding neighborhoods. We’ve watched the transformation and been involved in a number of developments. In addition to West Half, we’ve provided turn-key commercial hardware finishes for properties including Modern on M, a 276-unit apartment and retail project by Mill Creek Residential Trust at 465 M St. SW; Agora at the Collective, 336 apartments by WCS Construction at 880 New Jersey Ave. SE; and Channel Square, the redevelopment of a 231-apartment building by Bozzuto in partnership with the National Housing Trust at 325 P St. SW.

Closer to our headquarters in Stafford, Virginia, there are not only a legion of Nats fans who are ecstatic this season. Fredericksburg is just across the river and building a new stadium that will be home next year to the Fredericksburg Nationals, a Minor League Class A Advanced Affiliate of the Washington Nationals.

So, we have Nats fever here all around.
