Have you been to a game at Nationals Park lately? Now is a great time to take in not only the play on the field, but also the tremendous revitalization that the Washington Nationals’ home stadium—completed in 2008—has brought to the Anacostia waterfront and Navy Yard district in Washington, D.C.
CIP Finishes has played an important role in many of the projects that have transformed this area into a neighborhood filled with active residents, new restaurants and lively entertainment.
“It’s one of the most profound turnarounds I’ve seen in the city, and it’s happened relatively quickly,” CIP Finishes President Paul Milde says of the turnaround the area has undergone.
Working in a neighborhood that is regularly visited by thousands of baseball fans for games that often take place during the work week has unique challenges. As the company furnishes interior finishing hardware for apartment communities in this neighborhood, CIP Finishes teams have learned to get the work done swiftly—keeping to schedule—while adhering to requirements to pause work during baseball games.
“It’s just an interesting experience working next to a stadium,” Milde says, “and it’s an example of how we make sure our installer teams fit seamlessly into the workflow of any job we’re on.”
Here are notable projects CIP Finishes is involved in near Nationals Park:
