CIP Finishes has been in the multifamily construction business for 38 years, and part of what’s made that time so rewarding is the high caliber of the general contractor partners we are privileged to work with.

It has been our pleasure to engage with a group that builds community among the contractors and other professionals in our regional construction industry. The Virginia Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors is a statewide pro-business organization representing construction and construction-related firms. In October, we were proud to participate as a sponsor at ABC-VA’s general contractor panel and social hour. The panel included representatives from some of the fine general contractors we work with, including HITT Contracting, Balfour Beatty, L.F. Jennings, Howard Shockey & Sons Construction and TEEL Construction.

Our CEO, Paul Milde, enjoyed getting to see the principals from these firms as he made the door prize drawing for the event (pictured below).

Community engagement is central to the work we do at CIP Finishes—after all, the apartment homes we spend our days painstakingly finishing are the building blocks of future communities.

Paul Milde receives award from Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of CommerceAlong those lines, Paul was recently honored with a Leadership Impact Award from the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce. Paul is a 2021 graduate of the Chamber’s Leadership Fredericksburg program. He liked the program so much that he now sends CIP Finishes employees through the extensive community leadership training. Senior Director of Business Development Jenn Fousek is a 2024 graduate of the program.

Paul, who also serves his community representing Stafford County in the Virginia House of Delegates, said sees service as an integral part of leadership:

“Simply put, leadership is the ability to lead others towards accomplishing a common goal. For me it is about having a vision of where I think we should be going as a community and what the world around us should look like. Then working with people who have a similar vision or helping people see and appreciate that vision with enough focus and determination to manifest the desired end result.”

CIP Finishes supports numerous organizations that are working for the improvement of the communities in which we work. We want to recognize the following groups that we have supported recently. We encourage you to check out the work they are doing to help others.
